What this site collects, what Google’s advertising does, and how to opt out. Last updated 11 October 2026.

Forms. If you send the contact or listing form, we receive what you type: your name, restaurant, email, phone, city and message. The form is delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) to our inbox. It is used to answer you and to deal with your listing, nothing else: no selling, no mailing list.
Directory searches. The search runs in your browser. It downloads our public data files and filters them on your device; we do not store what you search for.
Server logs. Like any website, our host keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Pages on this site carry Google AdSense advertising. To choose which ads to show, Google and other third-party vendors place and read cookies in your browser, and those cookies can reflect pages you looked at here earlier as well as on other websites. Through its advertising cookies, Google and the partners it works with can show you ads informed by your visits to localfoodnearme.com and to other sites across the web.
Personalised ads can be switched off in Google’s ad settings. Many other ad vendors honour the opt-out tool run by the Digital Advertising Alliance at aboutads.info/choices. Google explains its own practices on its page about data from partner websites and apps.

The site is written for adults. It is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not set out to gather any information about them.
